For those who have their further study in Taiwan, usually they won't come back to Malaysia just because Malaysia is using Malay language as formal language. Most of the student who did their further study in Taiwan are not very good in Malay. (Sorry for that command). But to be honest, this is not the main problem. Is "racing" problem... I am working with Malaysian government. I still remember, I was not being orientated until one week after report duty to my station. If a Malay is coming for reporting, the office people will straight away orientate him/her and show him/her around. I am very pity to my new Pengarah, he is a Chinese man. Same thing had happen to him like me before... (Even he has the high post) Back to your question, regarding parties and meeting, usually over sea student they will have it. May be you need to find out someone you know who had been study to Taiwan. All the best.
3 :
you should go to the area by the train station theres alot of malaysian there hung around all the time

First of all, call the school and ask that particular department for scholarship requirements. A friend of mine got into Stanford on a scholarship last year, BUT she also had a perfect score on the SAT, too. You may have to lower your standards a bit.
2 :
Both schools have programs in creative writing, but only NYU has a program in journalism, and neither school teaches fashion design. Very few schools offer scholarships to international undergraduate students, I'm afraid. Only if you are really outstanding in your field would you be considered for a scholarship if they have any which accommodate international students at any school, and at these in particular, since they are extremely selective schools. You may want to contact the financial aid offices at both schools, if you are really interested, to find out if they offer any such scholarships.

what is the university life like in America?
what is the university life like in America?
Hi~there My name is angela Wang and I am a college student in Taiwan. I am just wondering what is the life like in American universities? Is it really so interesting and colorful like the movies we see on TV? What do you usually do or like to do after school? I am quite curious about it, can you tell me more about it no matter where you from in America, please? Thank you! P.S please forgive me if there are any grammar mistakes.I am still trying to learn English well.thanks.

Do not trust TV. Not all students act like in the American Pie or Road Trip. It really depends on the person. I guess it is pretty much like in Taiwan. Most people from other countries think US universities are easy but the top universities in US can be pretty tough. People have to take more electives in US than other Commonwealth countries. Some states may also have history or language requirements which is rare in other countries. More exams and projects in US. Sure you can also choose to have a life like movies in US if you can. All it takes is popularity, money and sex appeals (just like everywhere else.) I think Australia has the easiest higher education system.

Your grammer seems to be coming along nicely. Your punctuation is good enough to think that you are well versed in english. As for university life, it really depends on what university you attend. Some private schools are very selective and frown upon the debauchery that you would see in the average hollywood film. Others are exactly what you would see in those films. Fraternities and sororities can party like no one's business, but what you don't see a lot of are their acts of charity. If you decide to go to a state funded university, be prepared for dorm life. You will be meeting all types of people from all walks of life. Thankfully, tolerance is highly promoted and you should not have any real problems with people who are less tolerable. There are usually gathering centers and advice centers for those who are from foreign countries, and should you have a problem, there will be someone to help you. Good luck on your endeavors, and should you seek an education in the U.S. I hope that you find the experience enjoyable and culturally stimulating.

Do north Korean and south Korean want to reunify together as one nation someday like China and Taiwan do?
Do north Korean and south Korean want to reunify together as one nation someday like China and Taiwan do?
here in US i heard north Korean students and south Korean students don't really talk to each other. but they ARE the same people. it's kind of sad that people alienate each other just because of different government system even though they are both the same flesh and blood.

Your understand is a bit flawed. China wants to take over Taiwan, Taiwan wants to continue to be a free county not under the rule of communist China. It is not to be reunified, China does not recognize Taiwan as an independent country.
2 :
China wants to take control of taiwan, but neither does Taiwan or the US want taiwan to be controlled by China, so no, china and taiwan kind of hate each other. As for NK and SK, both Governments always spout how much they want to reunify in order to gain votes and sympathy, but truth be told, reunifying SK and NK would be horrible for the economy of SK, US and china, NK has nothing to lose, except power...There will be no reunification unless NK completely collapses and is taken over by SK or china.
3 :
China and US is using NK/SK, respectively, as a leverage to keep each other in check, there's a reason NK runs to China all the time for help when something comes up and they're the ones who meet up with US to calm the situation down. When Yunpyung do was bombed recently, why did China suddenly get involved in it? All the troops and nukes they might have is nothing but a show-off to scare normal citizens, NK knows they'd blow up to pieces in seconds if they were to use that to start a war or anything... this isn't 1950s when NK were better off than SK (yeah it was true). Unless China goes down like the Soviets did when Germany was split (there's a chance since they're communist regime, but they have WAY too many people for this to actually happen, lol) or US does (lolx2), or NK's government crumbles themselves (unlikely since China will probably help them), I don't think reunification is possible anytime soon.
4 :
It would be more like East and West Germany, in that the country was divided at the end of world war 2. Yes there are many families that have been separated and would like to be together again. The problem is that China does not want the U.S. military near its border or having influence in all of Korea. The country may reunite, but probably not for many years.

overseas transfer student?
hi there, i was wondering if someone could help me with some questions about transfer students from overseas. My cousin is in middle school in Taiwan and he wants to transfer to America for educational purposes. I was wondering if there is any site out there that would give me the estimated cost and information about how to sign him up for transfering to U.S.A? But if anyone knows any information about overseas transfer and such please give me your advice! your thoughts are appreciated! I really just want to know the estimated cost for an overseas transfer student from Taiwan. He has family over here so the cost of living would be excluded and also, how would you go about signing for such programs?
