I was overstayed my student visa in the USA. Now I am back to my country, I am working here. My boss wants me to travel to the UK on a business trip. Can I travel? Or UK's and USA's immigrations services work together? For example, if you are barred entering the US, it means, you cannot enter UK as well?

Yes you can. Infact you will find that when you land in the UK you will be offered housing and huge benefits and a British passport.
3 :
The UK and the US are independent countries, and being barred from one will not mean you are barred from the other.
4 :
Yes you can travel to UK. Moreover, depending on the length of your overstay, you can travel to the US again after some time. And no, UK and US do not work together as you described.
5 :
You can travel to the UK safely

The US is wide open. No sovereignty here.

It could have been a problem if you would need to apply for a visa and would need to state that you are barred from entering the United States in your visa application. However, since passport holders of Taiwan are exempt from the British visa requirement if their passport holds a personal identification number on the biometric data page, you can travel to the United Kingdom.
